Golf
Last week we had our first of three golf lessons with a kiwisport coach. It was awesome to see children who had never held a golf club before doing some great drives down the field. After our lessons at school we will hopefully get to have a go on a real golf course!!

Study Ladder
Study Ladder has now been set up for our class. If you click on the link at the side of the page it will take you to the login page. You will get your passwords at school on Monday. The tasks that are set for you can be done at school or at home. At the moment the english activities are for practicing your spelling. The maths tasks are to help with the statistics that we are doing in class.
Treaty Time
Last week we learned a little bit about the Treaty of Waitangi, then we came up with our own treaty to help us have a great year together in Room 23. The class got into groups and wrote a list of all the things they thought were important in a classroom. Each group narrowed their list down to the two they thought were the most important. We turned these ideas into our own class treaty. Here are the things we have all agreed on:
We will all strive
to consistently use excellent manners.
We will aim to
discover something new every day.
The truth will be
told at all times.
We will use our
creativity wherever possible.
Choices will be
made that help our own learning and the learning of others.
Miss A will
consider getting a class pet!
Good behaviour will
be rewarded.
Room 23 children
will help to choose class rewards and consequences.
School property
will be shared with all class members.
Decisions about
learning will be made together.
Room 23 children
will be able to earn free time.
