Art Ignition

Today we had a school-wide ignition activity to kick-off our arts inquiry for this term. We made a giant Tapa Cloth. Mrs Craig came up with the idea. She took all the classes in the hall throughout the day and showed each child how to make their own pattern to add to the school cloth.

A Tapa Cloth is traditionally made out of the bark of a a Mulberry Tree. But we didn't have any of that,  so we used brown paper bags and vivids. And it looks fantastic. Here are a few photos, but come and have a look at the real thing. It is on the wall in the hall.
